Two chapters of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA)—the Great Lakes and Great Rivers Chapters—have formed a joint training workshop and event (Great Connections 2014).

Minerva has been contracted to manage the event and provide proceedings and event guide publishing services. Great Connections 2014 will be held 29 April – 1 May 2014 in Davenport, Iowa.
