Elizabeth Peggs has been with Geosynthetica/Minerva since it was founded in late 1999. Her role is to understand client needs and to provide her team with the road-map and the resources to make sure those client needs are met and exceeded. She led the growth of Geosynthetica from its origin as a single-product company to Minerva, a company that creates web-based applications, provides marketing and communications assistance, publishes, and manages associations, corresponding meetings, and events. Under her direction, the company’s flagship publication has grown from a simple web-based newsletter to its current status as the number one online geosynthetics publication in the world (with over 300,000 qualified visitors in 2011).
Through her work with Geosynthetica/Minerva Elizabeth has been active in all aspects of the geosynthetics industry. Elizabeth has served as the Executive Secretary of ASTM International Committee D35 on Geosynthetics, Communications Chairman of GeoAmericas 2008 Conference, ad-hoc consulting member of Erosion Control Technology Council’s (ECTC) Marketing Committee, IGS Council Member, IGS Officer, Contributing Author to Geosynthetics Magazine and the IGS News, IGS Corporate Committee Chair, International Promotions Chair for GeoAmericas 2012, and in a variety of other volunteer roles. It is that experience which helps her lead the Geosynthetica team in delivering meaningful support to its association clients.
